You could be forgiven for expecting it will be 'chronically painful' for
you to read and consider what follows. But my hope is that it isn't too
unbearable to read about the different aspects of chronic pain affecting
millions of us.

It's in the wiring-apparently

I'm sure it is. There is an old joke against males that we can only deal with  one situation at a time. Apparently females can multi-task all the time. Apparently. I'm using this as my excuse for not writing for some time. I am working through some significant issues. Some relate to my health, some don't. But each has the capacity to steal my concentration at the cost of all else. So whatever might be worth adding to this blog, eludes me completely. So, I won't write just to keep up appearances. Any reader will see it for what it is.

One of my definitions of 'Chronic' is 'a physical &/or intellectual condition affecting body, mind & spirit...for years.' There's no scholarship in this, just decades of living in an imperfect body, as are so many others. It's very basic really. Every day I ask God for courage to deal with today. And not just for the big issues. Little things like correctly counting our front & back steps. Care to guess why ? Or grumbling about my failing sight to read my screen, until I realise I'm using the wrong glasses. Being willing to pay the arthritic price for any activity in our yard. Stuff like this can ruin the day if I let it. Still, we are all wired for courage. The trouble is I don't know if I have enough courage for my day until I start my day. My problem with the unexpected is it is just that - unexpected. A big deal I think, for people wired as I am.
