You could be forgiven for expecting it will be 'chronically painful' for
you to read and consider what follows. But my hope is that it isn't too
unbearable to read about the different aspects of chronic pain affecting
millions of us.

A Case of Mistaken Eye-dentity

I have only unfocused peripheral sight in one eye and am fully blind in the other.  I am very aware of any change to what is left of my sight. So, when my sight began to change, I hoped it might be a cataract problem-fixable. It didn't take long to realise I had a serious case of mistaken eye-dentity on my hands. No cataract evident but glaucoma is.

A change in eye drops may slow if not stop the progress of glaucoma. Either way, glaucoma is irreversible. Now I know why it's getting harder to find my way around my keyboard and screen. It is a small step from being legally blind to fully blind.  It's as if those 2 lions, The Ghost and the Darkness are back. They are masters at creeping into my mind, loading my thinking with what-if’s and might-be’s intended to overwhelm me. Heaven help me be wise in how I think and respond to one more mountain.

But Wait There's More
